10/1/2006 ~ Walking Worthy


... walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, ... ~ Ephesians 4:1

Now comes the conclusions:
Beyond what you have learned, do you have the commitment to endure?

... whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess
before My Father who is in heaven. ... ~ Matthew 10:32-33

→  Jesus had requirements and expectations.

               This is which constitutes unity. <─┐
... endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. ...
~ Ephesians 4:2-6

This is the foundation which will launch us forward to walk worthy.

... one Lord, one faith, one baptism; ... ~ Ephesians 4:4-6
 1. ● one body
 2. ● one Spirit
 3. ● one hope
 4. ● one Lord
 5. ● one faith
 6. ● one baptism
 7. ● one God and Father of all  

... "When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive,
And gave gifts to men." ... ~ Ephesians 4:7-16

 →  To increase your faith and grow individually.
Are you moving forward?

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, ... ~ James 3:17

Look within to see if we measure up to Christ.
~ Have you become new uniting with God?

You have to first get along with yourself. <─┐                                             
... with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering,
bearing with one another in love, ... ~ Ephesians 4:2-3

          ┌─> We are told there is just “one.”
... one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
... ~ Ephesians 4:6-7

But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure
of Christ's gift. ~ Ephesians 4:7
                 └─> It was given to us.

God gave us individual talents.
Do you walk worthy of these gifts?

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some ...
~ Ephesians 4:11

Some can encourage others, some can teach, etc.
Are you setting an example for others?

... submitting to one another in the fear of God. ~ Ephesians 5:21

... till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge
of the Son of God, ... ~ Ephesians 4:13

God wants us to strive for unity Now.
Are you useful NOW or would you choose to wait?

... but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
... ~ 2nd Peter 3:18
→  We need to become full grown in Christ.
~ In Christ you dwell in eternity.

 Peace upon the calm.

... may grow up in all things into Him who is the head - Christ -
~ Ephesians 4:15

... that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about
with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, ... ~ Ephesians 4:14
└─> The world gets us lost following worthless endeavors.

The world has problems because it does not follow Christ.

... as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word,
that you may grow thereby, ... ~ 1st Peter 2:2

... you have come to need milk and not solid food. ~ Hebrews 5:12-14

Do you still thirst or have you stopped drinking?
For or against?

For, do you put the word of God to use?
Exercise yourself in the word to bring yourself out of the world.
Just to know is not the same as action with"in" the word.

Continued Action = Growth

Don’t be satisfied or bored; seek to excel.

... leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ,
let us go on to perfection, ... ~ Hebrews 6:1-2

When you grow in Christ it gets more exciting everyday.

Do you challenge or question what you originally learned?
Are you at a standstill?
                 └─> In a world of tolerance?

~ Be careful or you could fall from your original beliefs.

... those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, ...
~ Hebrews 6:4
→  Is your life more important than following Christ?

YOU set the foundation by studying God’s word
and spending time in prayer.

~ Who do you help to get closer to God?
→ Do you read the Bible with others?
Are you on your heels or toes?

God is ambitious and wants us all to help one another.
Surely, we have to practice to get closer to God.

... every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying
of itself in love. ~ Ephesians 4:16

... he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. ...
~ Matthew 10:37-39

ARE YOU STRIVING TO BE WORTHY?
