5/18/2008 ~ God’s Purpose, Earth’s Purpose,
                   Our Purpose


Showing reverence is not the same as wanting God.
Men often want God’s creation or control of it over Him.

... One generation passes away, and another generation comes; ...
~ Ecclesiastes 1:1-11

How long life goes on, cycles on the earth will continue to revolve.
Nature moves over the life of man.

"You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things, ..." ~ Revelation 4:11

~ Created us for His pleasure ~ It serves Him ~

... God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing,
Whether good or evil. ~ Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

Though Joseph was betrayed by his brothers,
he remained loyal to the ways of God.

Then they said to one another, "We are truly guilty concerning our brother,
... ~ Genesis 42:21-23

One can immediately recall the guilt of one’s life when things get bad.

Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth,
Before the difficult days come, ... ~ Ecclesiastes 12:1

PURITY

One needs to hold purity of he♥rt close, to have purity with God.

... of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, ...
~ 1st Peter 1:22-25

Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace
with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. ~ 2nd Timothy 2:22

The fruits of God’s will are clear.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle,
willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, ~ James 3:17

Joseph was devout in service as was Cornelius.

DEVOUT

a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, ... ~ Acts 10:2

It's about knowing what needs to be done and doing it.

FOCUS

~ Dedicated to God ~

DEDICATED

Our purpose is to preserve things that go beyond our mortal lives.
FAITH in those things not seen.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not
seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. ... ~ Hebrews 11:1-3

Our purpose is to establish God’s glory through our actions.
One needs eternal purpose over temporary purpose.

God put us here to serve His purpose.
