7/9/2006 ~ Showing The Face of God



... could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his
countenance, which glory was passing away, ... ~ 2nd Corinthians 3:1-18


... Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid
to come near him. ... ~ Exodus 34:29-35


Moses was not afraid to see the face of God.
When you have the word, you have God.


The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; ... ~ Psalm 19:7-11

His word is a reflection of His Greatness.
~ We can know Him by His word.


... I would not have known sin except through the law. ... ~ Romans 7:7-12

The truth becomes clearer and simpler from the study of all God’s words.
~ Looking on the glory of God not to justify ourselves or ideas
but do we care enough about God to see God?


- Many do not want to see God in His brilliant glory.

TRUTH = LIGHT

┌─> Not the letter of the law but the spirit.      
... new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, ...
~ 2nd Corinthians 3:6


Greet one another with a holy kiss. ... ~ Romans 16:16

God desires us to be genuine.
Are you genuine in your desire to get to heaven?
Do you care for others over yourself?


... God shows personal favoritism to no man ... ~ Galatians 2:6-9

But if anyone seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, ...
~ 1st Corinthians 11:16


The issue is not in the cover but in the spirit received.
Opinion is looking to intently on ourselves,
Our own brilliance is not what it is about.


An open humble heart shall receive the truth.

Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. ...
~ 2nd Corinthians 3:16-17


Moses was not afraid of God’s light.

... His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.
~ Matthew 17:1-5


... His face was altered, and His robe became white and glistening. ...
~ Luke 9:29-35


Don’t veil Jesus’ face or you will miss His spirit of truth to be like God
– to put away pride and desire to be close to Him
through the study of His words.


Do we want Jesus to wear the veil just like Moses?

... all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, ...
~ 2nd Corinthians 3:18


The mistake is to receive just the word or just the spirit.
To achieve all the glory of God, you need both word and spirit.

Don’t be a hypocrite or a casual Christian.

Do you admit to being a Christian but then converse
about things of the world void of any spiritual content?


"... because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,
I will vomit you out of my mouth." ~ Revelation 3:15-16


How do you glorify God everyday?

To solve giving glory to God is to shine His light through yourself.


"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works ...
~ Matthew 5:16


Do you glorify God in your image or presentation?
We all need to fix ourselves, we need to examine ourselves.

How do co-workers see us?

The need is to see the Glory of God transmuted through us.
Let people come to us because of God and not ourselves.


For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, ...
~ 1st Corinthians 14:33


As for me, You uphold me in my integrity, And set me before
Your face forever. ~ Psalm 41:12


Hide Your face from my sins, And blot out all my iniquities. Create in me
a clean heart, ... ~ Psalm 51:9-10


Make Your face shine upon Your servant, And teach me Your statutes.
~ Psalm 119:135


Make Your face shine upon Your servant; Save me for Your mercies' sake.
~ Psalm 31:16


... "Your face, Lord, I will seek." Do not hide Your face from me; ...
~ Psalm 27:8-9


As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when
I awake in Your likeness. ~ Psalm 17:15


Restore us, O God; Cause Your face to shine, And we shall be saved!

As in water face reflects face, So a man's heart reveals the man.

Jesus did not have a complaining heart.
