10/28/2007 ~ Understanding the Will of God


See that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,

Teaching knowledge is principal to God’s will.

And he continued there a year and six months,
teaching the word of God among them. ~ Acts 18:11


... Of making many books there is no end, and much study is wearisome
to the flesh. ~ Ecclesiastes 12:12


We have to understand
what has been presented to understand God’s will.
~ Words are the vehicle of thought.


... whatever God does, It shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it,
And nothing taken from it. ... ~ Ecclesiastes 3:14


Give thanks to all men whom He has given to a free flowing universe.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. ~ Genesis 1:1

Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;
... ~ Genesis 1:26


God is a plural word.

By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God,
... ~ Hebrews 11:3


God created all from nothing.

As for Peter, he was given the keys to open God’s word.

What was already ordained in heaven came through Peter. <─┘                            

Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized
in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; ... ~ Acts 2:38


 ┌─> After baptism, sincere repentance and prayer as an antidote to sin.
"Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps
the thought of your heart may be forgiven you." ~ Acts 8:22

   Peter gave us the now known 2nd law of pardon. <─┘

Peter delivered the word to the Gentiles.
And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. ...
~ Acts 10:48


One’s actions on earth will have effects in heaven.
One’s choices will dictate a rising to heaven or a fall to hell.


Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. ~ Psalm 119:89

God's order and His will is solid as a rock, His rock.
His word is complete settled by His coming.
God’s covenant today is set in His living stones set upon His cornerstone.


... leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ,
let us go on to perfection, ... ~ Hebrews 6:1-2

                └─> To carry the burden; → Gather the gumption to be real.
                   └─> Personal serenity is surrendering to God and His work.


... do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes,
but in understanding be mature. ~ 1st Corinthians 14:20


... for prophecy never came by the will of man, ... ~ 2nd Peter 1:20-21

The word of God is written so that all may understand.
~ It comes from God and not from man.


... leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: ... ~ 1st Peter 2:21

We must copy Christ in all that He Is.
We need to earnestly examine the life of Christ
and follow Him, and His will, as students.


New and additional doctrines henceforth will be superfluous. <─┐
              What never needs to be repeated. <─┐                  |
... contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered
to the saints. ~ Jude 1:3

                         └─> An urgency to get busy or hurry up; → learn.

Small men argue over the petty missing the whole simple will of God.

He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called
The Word of God. ~ Revelation 19:13


Baptizō is a derivative of Baptō

Baptism (immersion) is not a casual event and is necessary for salvation
with a continual personal commitment of growth searching out God’s will.
The conscience of conscious should be for the good will of God.

It is unwise to use the word of God to invalidate the word of God.


... if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; ...
~ Acts 5:38-39


Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
~ Ephesians 5:17


Do you have the remission of sins?
   Have you obeyed God’s simple will?
If not, any and all is done in vain.


... Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. ~ Luke 11:2
