12/2/2006 ~ National Security


We all know the twin toWers in New York.
Many recall Pearl Harbor.
A plea for National Security again goes out.

Our defenses are up as we expect something bad.

"The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good,
your whole body will be full of light." ~ Matthew 6:22

Unity in the One true God will protect us.
Here resides real strength.

Either 1941 or 2001, evil is evil and if it is only darkness,
it can only put out or yield darkness.

So why doesn’t God just extinguish, stamp out evil?

... "First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them,
but gather the wheat into my barn." ~ Matthew 13:24-30

Jesus says evil is allowed with good.
It has to do with a test of leadership, the righteous.
God waits on His children.

... Every morning He brings His justice to light; He never fails,
But the unjust knows no shame. ~ Zephaniah 3:1-5
                        └─> Corrupt motives, self serving; fleecing the flock.

Most fall short of God's commands.

1.     She has not obeyed His voice, ... ~ Zephaniah 3:2
2. ... She has not received correction; ... ~ Zephaniah 3:2
3. ... She has not trusted in the Lord, ... ~ Zephaniah 3:2
4. ... She has not drawn near to her God. ~ Zephaniah 3:2

He gave them what they needed to know.
~ He has given us what we need to know.
→ Who do you trust?

... "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble." ~ James 4:6

Who did Judah Fear?

MEDETERANIAN
SEA

 		JUDAH
 

What shall we do to remain safe?

I desire therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands,
without wrath and doubting; ... ~ 1st Timothy 2:8

Things to do for National Security
1. Faithful
2. Pray
3. Vigilant - Support Military
4. Teach Christ

We need to be vigilant.

... whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those
who resist will bring judgment on themselves. ... ~ Romans 13:1-4

It is God that has established governments.
We need a religion that brings peace with God.
We need to stand with God, His given plain word.
The field has been sown.

... the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
... ~ John 1:1-5

We need to bring people in to the light.

... Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, ...
~ Matthew 5:3-9

"Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore
be wise as serpents and harmless as doves." ~ Matthew 10:16

We all need to be redeemed by Christ
so that our light brings light to the darkness.

... "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, ..." ~ Matthew 13:31-32

Only the strongest trees will withstand the winds of fire.
Where is your heart?

Faithful Fruitful?

Christianity has always been the minority.
With a good and honest heart,
Christians become the way of truth by submitting to God’s truth.
Do we want a better world for our children?

God calls to All.

Strength resides within the collective of individuals; the body of one.
