11/23/2008 ~ The Right To Choose


God chose to enter this world His way.

... of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh,
Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. ... ~ Romans 9:1-5

God has the right to do whatever He wills.

Jew or Gentile Not Choosing God’s Way = Lost

God does not ask for man’s approval.
We are the one’s to make the choice if we will be saved.

... (... that the purpose of God according to election might stand,
not of works but of Him who calls), ... ~ Romans 9:6-13

Old Testament Inheritance:
1st Born Son Double Portion
2nd Born Son One Third

Though Isaac was not the first born of Abraham,
~ he is called the only begotten.

... he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of
whom it was said, "In Isaac your seed shall be called," ... ~ Hebrews 11:17-18

God also had favor with Jacob, the 2nd born of Isaac.

... Says the LORD. "Yet Jacob I have loved; But Esau I have hated, ...
~ Malachi 1:2-3

More accurately, “hate” would equate to “loved less.”

"And you will be hated by all for My name's sake.
But he who endures to the end will be saved." ~ Matthew 10:22

EARTH ≠ FAIR

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is
neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. ~ Galatians 3:28

God has the right to show mercy or not.

... "I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have
compassion on whomever I will have compassion." ~ Romans 9:14-15

So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs,
but of God who shows mercy. ... ~ Romans 9:16-17

... as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness
to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. ~ Romans 5:21

... Behold, these are the ungodly, Who are always at ease;
They increase in riches. ~ Psalm 73:3-12

Many ask why the wicked person prospers?

... So, Lord, when You awake, You shall despise their image.
~ Psalm 73:16-20

The quagmire of man holds sorrows and pleasures.

Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens.
... ~ Romans 9:18-24

God has shown Grace in our darkness.

... "Unless the LORD of Sabaoth had left us a seed,
We would have become like Sodom, ..." ~ Romans 9:25-29

RIGHTEOUSNESS ≠ RIGHT TO SALVATION

Now "If the righteous one is scarcely saved,
Where will the ungodly and sinner appear?" ~ 1st Peter 4:18

● We are saved only if we are in Christ.
Do you rest in the premises and not the promises?

... Israel, pursuing the law of righteousness, has not attained
to the law of righteousness. ~ Romans 9:30-31

~ Some Jews will be lost.
~ Some Gentiles will be saved.

Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as it were,
by the works of the law. ... ~ Romans 9:32-33

~ Christ is the rock ~
If you don’t build on His rock, it will become a boulder in the way.

... your children, who you say will be victims, who today have no knowledge
of good and evil, they shall go in there; ... ~ Deuteronomy 1:39

God has worked very hard so that we may know truth.

... by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you
again the first principles of the oracles of God; ... ~ Hebrews 5:11-14

Can we believe His simple truths?

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world
to put to shame the wise, ... ~ 1st Corinthians 1:27

Will we now knowledgably serve in His kingdom?

"... But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." ~ Joshua 24:14-15

YOU CAN’T SHORT CUT GOD.
