3/16/2008 ~ The Kingdom of Christ

"... the kingdom of God is within you." ~ Luke 17:20-21

The kingdom of God is not found in a GRAND physical building.

CHURCH = ASSEMBLY

Power is found in self service to Jesus and those who gather as such.

Jesus has all power and a universal eternal throne.
It is not about power for the self or any finite organization of man.
~ Gangs make there own kingdom.
The God we serve is King over all creation.

"... Do not go after them or follow them." ~ Luke 17:22-23
└─> Don’t follow them, follow Me!

┌─> The flood came suddenly with power.
"... as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of
the Son of Man: ..." ~ Luke 17:24-29

God has the power.
Take faith in Jesus to ensure your own protection.

"... Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will
provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?" ~ Matthew 26:52-53

Jesus has Power over:
● Nature
● Disease
● People
● Government
● Death

Do you think religions of the earth have power?

It is in Heaven!

The Focus is God and not man!
Do not look back to shifting constructions, idolatries of man
... but Now forever forward to God’s reigning kingdom.

"... Remember Lot's wife." ~ Luke 17:30-32

... the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt,
afterward destroyed those who did not believe. ~ Jude 1:5

... "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back,
is fit for the kingdom of God." ~ Luke 9:57-62

God is all; nothing one physically has can buy you into the Kingdom.

"Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life
will preserve it. ... "~ Luke 17:33-36

A soul is more valuable than all the world.

... "Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together."
~ Luke 17:37

Those that ignore God’s instructions or warnings are doomed.

"... See! Your house is left to you desolate; ..." ~ Matthew 23:37-38

Jerusalem was destroyed and more than one million people died.

"But he who endures to the end shall be saved. ..." ~ Matthew 24:13-19

... Who will deliver me from this body of death?
I thank God -- through Jesus Christ our Lord! ... ~ Romans 7:15-25

One must lean on Christ and His will.

┌─> The loyal stand with God.
"... How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?"
~ Genesis 39:7-9

... But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness,
let it not even be named among you, ... ~ Ephesians 5:1-5

... submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. ~ James 4:7

The Kingdom of God is to serve God’s will.

"... Your will be done." ~ Matthew 26:42

Do you want to be safe eternally?
~ You must stand within for Jesus and His word, both young and old.
It is not about health or wealth for we all succumb.

"... unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." ~ John 3:3-6
└─> To walk in life.

It’s all about submitting to God over self.
Because Thomas wouldn’t believe unless he saw Jesus,
the term "Doubting Thomas" has been derived.

"... see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print
of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe." ~ John 20:24-25

If you read the shortest Gospel, the book of Mark,
and still question or believe in possible errors and or missing parts,
you doubt what has been once delivered, and are a 'Doubting Thomas.'

... the faith which was once for all delivered ... ~ Jude 1:3

... there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.
... ~ Galatians 1:6-10

Escapist people look more intently for missing books and or new
doctrines while not even searching what has been delivered by God.

Christ did not come for Christianity to be constantly reinvented.
~ If you cannot see the kingdom of God, you do not believe ~

... he who comes to God must believe that He is, ... ~ Hebrews 11:6

... and your coldness or lukewarm attitude will condemn you.
To question or correct God is to exalt yourself.

... because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you ...
~ Revelation 3:15-16

If you can not see the Kingdom of God, you will not be part of it.

... He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.
~ 3rd John 1:11

... do these things ... for so an entrance will be supplied to you ... into the
everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. ~ 2nd Peter 1:3-11

God’s Kingdom calls out for all.
