2/17/2008 ~ Justification

... both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin. ... ~ Romans 3:9-18

We need to know what makes us sinners.

              ┌─> Thankful not like him?
"... everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and
he who humbles himself will be exalted." ~ Luke 18:9-14

└─> Which one was justified?

It starts with an admission of being an unworthy sinner.
Do you look for one worse to justify self?

"... Would you condemn Me that you may be justified?" ~ Job 40:8

  JUSTIFIED = RIGHT WITH GOD
                           └─> Free of Guilt

It is about being right with God.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, ...
~ 2nd Corinthians 5:10-11

It is inescapable that all will stand, kneel, before Him.
We will be judged by our own merits,
~ not in relation to any other but to ourselves.

for by the law is knowledge of sin. ~ Romans 3:19-20

The law showed us all sinners needing a savior from ourselves.

┌─> No exceptions, all have sinned.
... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ... ~ Romans 3:23

All should be humbled requiring the gospel.

For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, ... ~ Romans 15:3
└─> Is it to please God or self?

Are you unremorseful for your wrongs?
~ Each of us has sin to be removed and Jesus took the beating
so that we might find release from sin through Him.

Even David needed the savior.
          └─> Wasn’t good enough.

... that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

you will be condemned." ~ Matthew 12:36-37

... "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent."
~ John 6:29

God did and does not just love us casually

Continual earnest prayer to Him opens one’s heart.

and by works faith was made perfect? ~ James 2:22

to the hope of eternal life. ~ Titus 3:4-7

All must go through Christ.
His grace is not a license to sin.

Justified by His blood.
