8/17/2008 ~ Fellowship We Should Have

... let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, ...
~ Hebrews 10:19-25

~ WITH FATHER ~

GOD       GOD
↕           ↕
Man  ↔  Man

   Verticle Fellowship

   Horizontal Fellowship

To be in fellowship with God, one must follow His word.
Self imposed emotional illusion is with the self, not God.

"Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name
of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; ..." ~ Acts 2:38

            └─> The gospel explained.

... being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit
we were all baptized into one body ... ~ 1st Corinthians 12:12-14

To be one with God it can only be by God’s regulations.

... not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, ... ~ Hebrews 10:25

Don’t quit assembling to help stay with God.
We should have a sense of need to worship.
It is done of the self through Him.

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men,
the Man Christ Jesus, ... ~ 1st Timothy 2:5-7

Many look for signs, when the sign has already been given.
Stop looking for signs and simply, wholly believe; this is faith.

... holy hands, without wrath and doubting; ... ~ 1st Timothy 2:8

... when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"
~ Luke 18:8

It is error that we need to be attentive of.
Jesus taught us what is necessary to stay in the faith.
To go beyond it or not heed its’ warnings is to change it.
We must be careful to abide in His and His apostles words.

"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
~ John 4:24

Do you appreciate the opportunity to commune with brethren for God?

I WAS glad when they said to me, "Let us go into the house of the LORD."
~ Psalm 122:1

Do you like to worship or is it an obligation?

God Deserves Our Worship

We love Him because He first loved us. ~ 1st John 4:19

~ Because we love Him ~

SPIRIT
TRUTH

One must worship because one wants to.
~ ADRE HIM.
Division is not what God calls for.
It is about an inner spiritual healing and not an outer emotional high.

... speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, ...
~ 1st Corinthians 1:10

"Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come
to bring peace but a sword. ..." ~ Matthew 10:34-35

Enemies of God can be found in one’s own house.
More people fall into a self seeking ditch rather
than climbing the mountain to understand God.

God looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see
if there are any who understand, who seek God. ~ Psalm 53:2

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, ...
~ Hebrews 10:24

Assemble to build up strength in the House of God

Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together
to break bread, ... ~ Acts 20:7

On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, ...
~ 1st Corinthians 16:2

Let’s be the family God calls for assembling on the first day of the week.

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship,
in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. ~ Acts 2:42

WORSHIP
1. Continued Steadfastly
2. Apostles Doctrine
3. Breaking of Bread
4. Prayers

It’s not about a social organization of fun and parties.
Our celebration is through worship of what has already come.

Sanctify them by your truth. Your word is truth. ~ John 17:17

One must look for the good in other brethren.

Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace
and the things by which one may edify another. ~ Romans 14:19

As living stones, God calls each of us to be a rock for others.
Talk with one another about the Bible.
The power is in the scripture.
What we should be.

This will increase our faith and hope.
